SAML ECP Configuration
RapidIdentity Federation supports the Oasis SAML V2.0 Enhanced Client or Proxy (ECP) profile.
This configuration enables ECP authentication in addition to web-based single sign-on authentication. It can be used for single sign-on with HTTP Basic Authentication, to enable, disable and configure the ECP profile for a particular Relying Party, and communicate with the Service Provider's identity provider without being redirected.
Microsoft Office 365 is an example of a Service Provider requiring SAML ECP to authenticate and their ECP Advanced Settings are shown below.
